The team of eminent gastroenterologists in the Atlas hospital deal with prevention, diagnostics and treatment diseases of esophagus, stomach and bowels (ulcers, inflammations, tumors, inflammatory diseases such as Crohn’s disease and ulcerous colitis), pancreas (inflammations and tumors) and hepatobiliary system (various inflammations, liver and gall bladder diseases, calculosis of gall bladder and  bile ducts, benign and malignant tumors of peritoneum – peritonitis and metabolic diseases).

The following diagnostic procedures are used:

-esophagogastroduodenoscopy (gastroscopy) under local and general anaesthesia, by using the most advances endoscope

– colonoscopy, by using the most modern videocolonoscope

-anoscopy under local anaesthesia ( examination of anal canal and the end part of the rectum)

– ultrasound of the abdomen, by using the modern equipment, colour doppler echoangiography of stomach blood vessels.
