The Atlas Hospital takes all precautions to protect patients and employees, and to prevent the spread of the COVID 19 pandemic.
The following decisions were made:
Working hours of Atlas general hospital
Opening hours of Atlas General Hospital remain 24 hours. Since Atlas is a hospital, a surgical hospital and there is a hospital ward where the operated patients are staying, the hospital will remain open 24 hours. Emergencies and planned surgical interventions are performed according to the plan and protocol, unless otherwise ordered by the Ministry of Health or the Serbian Government. The polyclinic will be opened during the pandemic from 08-16h.
Performing operations in the Atlas General Hospital
The director of Atlas General Hospital has decided to make all his hospital facilities and staff available to the state of Serbia and to patients at risk. At the invitation of the Ministry of Health or the Serbian Government, we will gladly and always assist our people as we have done so far, as far as we can. By this time, the Atlas General Hospital will perform examinations and surgical interventions following all prescribed measures by the Ministry of Health and the hospital’s chief epidemiologist.
Hospital visiting hours
At the suggestion of epidemiologist of the Atlas General Hospital and with the consent of the director, all visits to Atlas Hospital have been prohibited as of March 1, 2020. The visit ban is in place until the end of the COVID-19 pandemic for all patients that have had a hospital treatment. The notice and decision are present at the hospital entrance.
How employees are protected from COVID19
All employees (regardless of department and workplace) are required to wear masks and gloves and to disinfect hands and all work surfaces on a constant protocol basis. All medical staff monitor the measures prescribed by the epidemiologist and approved by the hospital director.
Can I come to Atlas Hospital for check-up
Prior to the admission of any person to the Atlas General Hospital (both staff and patients), triage will be performed with mandatory temperature measurement and mandatory completion of an information questionnaire. All persons who have any symptoms of respiratory infection will be given clear instructions to whom to consult.
Visitors who have flu symptoms or come from the „red zones“ of countries where the virus is infected with the virus, will not be allowed to enter the hospital.
What should I do if I have symptoms of corona virus
If you have symptoms of respiratory tract infection (fever, shortness of breath, or cough), please stay home and contact the health services that are in charge.
Where can I get tested for coronavirus?
Atlas General Hospital does not perform tests for the coronavirus. SARS-CoV-2 virus testing is being done at the:
National Reference Laboratory for Influenza and Other Respiratory Viruses,
Institute of Virology,
Vaccines and Serums “Torlak” in Belgrade from a nasopharyngeal swab.

Call the Referral Service by phone and you will get all the information you need. Please obey the regulations and measures issued by the Ministry of Health. Please do not take any self-initiative steps without consulting the reference services.
