ACP and PRP treatments
ACP i PRP treatment
ACP i PRP treatments present two methods of regenerative therapy.
These therapies accelerate tissue healing and cells growth.
The difference between ACP and PRP procedure is in the method used to obtain platelet rich plasma.
The result is the same as in both procedures platelet rich plasma which contains many growth factors is obtained.
Biostimulation with ACP and PRP means the stimulation of skin and subcutaneous fatty tissue stem cells by GF(growth factor)obtained from one’s own plasma thus achieving a natural skin rejuvenation.
How is this procedure carried out?
In order to carry out this procedure, a small amount of blood,up to 150ml, is drawn from a patient.
The blood is then spun down in a centrifuge to separate different components of blood. Red and white blood cells are divided from the platelets and the plasma (the clear fluid). This plasma now contains higher than normal number of platelets and is called PRP (platelet rich plasma).
It is then locally applied depending on the indication. In order to achieve best results, patients shouldn’t take any painkillers or corticosteroids 7 days before the intervention.
The duration of the intervention depends on the exact indication but in most cases it lasts not more than an hour.
The PRP injected into specific areas of the skin ,act as a matrix that promotes one’s own collagen to grow ,regenerates tissue, and naturally tightens the skin.In this way, PRP softens wrinkles and creates smoother skin texture .
This is not an “instant” method ,so the first results are visible after 6 weeks, while the best results are achieved 4-6 months after the intervention.
The treatment can be repeated but patients are advised to wait for six months before the next treatment.Search for additional information: Aesthetic surgery – ACP and PRP therapy
