uklanjanje kondiloma

At Atlas General Hospital condyloma removal is performed by urology specialists : doctor Uroš Babic and doctor Nikola Lukač. The cost of condyloma removal is 11,000 – 20,000 dinars, depending on the number and location of the condyloma.

Many people are not even aware that they have condyloma and HPV infection because we have practically whole sexually active population at risk.

They are considered to be the most vulnerable persons who frequently change sexual partners. Condyloma or genital warts are the outgrowths of the HPV (Human Papilloma Virus) virus on the internal and external genitalia.

The HPV virus has about 70 species, some of which are high-risk, such as those numbered 16 and 18. It is a virus that, once entered, remains in the body forever and can repeatedly cause the appearance of a condyle.

Beside  condyloma, high-risk types of HPV virus are responsible for the occurrence of precancerous cancers on the cervix, vaginal mucosa and anus.

The HPV virus is transmitted through unprotected sexual intercourse with an infected person. Condyloma can cause a lot of discomfort for both sexes.

Symptoms of HPV infection

Regarding the fact that some species of HPV viruses do not give you any symptoms at all, this infection can be a hidden hazard. When symptoms occur, it is usually three months after a risky sexual intercourse.

Infection is also possible in contact with infected skin or mucous membranes with no visible condyloma. Skin and mucous membranes of the genital organs and anus show changes in the form of a rash, pink spots or discoloration of the skin of flattened or cauliflower shaped  whitish changes and warts.

A person with condyloma may experience itching and discomfort in the genital region. During sexual intercourse, condyloma can begin to bleed. Condyloma can also occur on the male genitalia, but they are poorly visible and men are often just carriers of the virus.

Most often, they occur on the back wall of the entrance to the vagina and the perineum, and much less often on the cervix. Condyloma often occur in pregnancy, when immunity is more sensitive. They can also occur in the mouth and throat area. The estimated incubation period from HPV virus is from two weeks to a year and a half.

Condyloma will be more pronounced if there is another sexually transmitted disease that makes the genital mucosa vulnerable.

Removal of condyloma for 11.000 dinars

Condyloma is a highly contagious disease and can easily spread throughout the body, so it is recommended to remove them on time. The most effective methods used at Atlas General Hospital for condyloma removal are radio waves and electrocautery, and soon also with laser.

It is performed under local or general anesthesia (depending on the localization and the affected area) and is a completely painless method. However, if the condyloma is much dilated, surgical removal is required, which is performed under general anesthesia without  longer hospital stay.

It is very important to remove any warts  that come out and treat both partners at the same time.

Preventive measures

The basic preventative measure is the use of condoms during sexual intercourse, but this measure is not completely reliable. In addition, it is important to keep your immune system in good shape by avoiding smoking, alcohol, unhealthy food and stress.

So far, there is no effective cure for the HPV virus. There are recommended vaccines, given in puberty, that are thought to provide some resistance to several types of HPV viruses. All women should have a colposcopy and Pap smear at least once a year, showing any changes in the cervix caused by HPV infection.

At Atlas General Hospital you can perform all the examinations, analyzes and removal of condyloma quickly with the least likelihood of recurrence. A great team of urologist and gynecologists will help you get rid of this unpleasant occurrence. For any questions and to schedule an appointment, please call +381 11 785 88 88.
