Hyaluronic fillers
Hyaluronic fillers are natural gels which contain hyaluronic acid. They are injected into the skin and subcutaneous tissue for lips augmentation and reduction of facial wrinkles.
Hyalyronic acid in hyaluronic fillers is similar to hyaluronic acid in human organism.
Youthful looks of the face and skin is achieved by filling the wrinkles and subcutaneous fatty tissue .
Apart from this, the aim of injecting the fillers is: collagen and elastine production, filling the wrinkles, correcting acnae scars, enhancing the face volume, hydration and lips augmentation, face contouring and compensation of lost subcutaneous fatty tissue mostly on the face and hands.
Hyaluronic fillers are biodegradable and last between 6 and 24 months.
How is this procedure carried out?
Application of hyaluronic fillers depends on how deep the wrinkles are and on the assessment of plastic surgeon.
The procedure lasts between 10 and 15 minutes.A local anesthetic creme may be applied while for lips augmentation a local anesthetic is injected in the mucous.
After the treatment, patients may experience itching,redness or swelling in the treated area.
It is a natural reaction and it lasts for a couple of hours not longer than two days.
Initial swelling after lips augmentation may last a couple of days.
It is very important not to touch the treated area 6 hours after the treatment.
Apart from this, it is also necessary to avoid sun exposure and solarium until swelling and redness disappear.
During the injecting , minor bruises can appear on the treated area but they withdraw within 2 or 3 days.
The injected fillers degrade over time , so the patients come for new treatments six months or one year later.
