In the endocrinology center

of the Atlas general hospital experienced endocrinologists deal with prevention and treatment of diseases of endocrine glands and metabolism.

The following disease are treated:

– hypothalamus diseases

– hypophysis diseases( tumors, hyperprolactinemia, hypersecretion of growth hormone, hypopituitarism and diabetes insipidus)

– thyroid gland diseases ( hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, goiter, thyroid tumors and thyroids)

– parathyroid gland  diseases ( hypo and hyperfunction of the parathyroid gland, i.e primary and secondary parathyroidism)

– adrenal gland diseases ( hyperfunction of adrenal gland cortex, hypofunction of adrenal gland medulla and diseases of adrenal gland medulla, such as pheochromocytoma)

– genital glands diseases – gonada ( amenorrhea, polycystic ovaries syndrome -PCOS, infertility, menopause, hypogonadism and gynecomastia)

– diabetes – diabetes mellitus ( diabetes mellitus Type I, diabetes mellitus Type II, gestational diabetes and other specific types of diabetes)

– obesity, undernourishment)

– disorder of lipidmetabolism ( hyperlipoproteinemia)
