In most cases, blood in the urine (called hematuria) is the first sign of bladder cancer. This should be an alarm for urgent urological examination in order to establish the right diagnosis as early as possible.
Early diagnosed bladder cancers are treated endoscopic – by trans urethral resection of bladder tumor (TURBT).
Invasive bladder cancers or those diagnosed in later stage require radical surgical treatment during which the entire bladder is removed with adequate urine drain (ileal conduit urinary diversion).
Early bladder cancer diagnosis is of great importance for successful treatment. Besides surgical treatment, there are also additional methods of treatment-BCG therapy.
In order to prevent this and other similar diseases, regular specialist examinations should be of great importance for every patient.
In the Atlas general hospital, regular urological examinations can be performed.
